The American Bar Association is a large organization.  It claims to represent almost 400,000 lawyers and as you know, lawyers do a lot of faxing.  And as you may also know, lawyers are not always the most tech-savvy people.  So it was only natural that that the ABA’s TechEZ site would help lawyers determine which fax service companies would be best for their members.

Today, Protus, which owns the MyFax online fax company, announced that they MyFax service is now available on the ABA’s TechEZ site.  The purpose of the TechEZ site is to help attorneys make smart choices about technology so that they get the best return on their technology investment.

“Phone and fax correspondence remain a business-critical form of communicating sensitive information for legal professionals, so providing them with the most reliable phone and faxing solutions is vital,” said Steve Adams, vice president of marketing for Protus, the provider of MyFax and my1voice. “We’re pleased to provide this vast legal community with communications tools that boost efficiency, streamline workflow, and improve productivity at an affordable rate.”

When I went to the TechEZ website, there were only two fax service companies that were featured: MyFax and RingCentral.  Both of them offer a 15% discount to ABA members.  This was very surprising to me.  I would have thought that some of the other online fax companies, such as eFax, would be there as well.  After all, who uses more faxes that lawyers?
